The Scrutinizer™
Unit ID Logging and Display
System (view PDF file) |
 |
| Antenna Systems & Solutions
introduces the Scrutinizer™, a UNIT ID Logging and Display
System. |
 |
|
|
Now, instead of having to hear radio unit ID's and memorizing unit numbers, the console dispatch operator can see a typical ScrutinizerT display such as: |

A more
detailed log is maintained. It can also be displayed in real time: |

PRIMARY FEATURES
The Scrutinizer™ provides a historical console display of the 10 (or
more) most recent unit identifications received in a convenient
operator display, both compact and concise.
The record or received unit ID information is logged, time-stamped
and written to internal hard disk in the system for later
examination, evaluation and printing if needed.
The Scrutinizer™ optionally can control the radio base / repeater
system where system access is granted or denied based on whether or
not the unit is a valid subscriber in an authorization database.
This can be done
- On a per-key-up basis
- On a timer basis
depending on the level of system
control and/or security desired.

| ENHANCE YOUR AUDIO LOG ACCURACY
The Scrutinizer™ is
a custom hardware and software package. The system greatly enhances
the operation of an existing or proposed communication network based
on Motorola Land Mobile conventional (2-way) subscriber and
infrastructure radio systems.
The package works in conjunction
with radio units capable of using Motorola's MDC-1200 Stat-Alert
systems. The Scrutinizer™ improves the operator's interface to this
signaling system. The package consists of a typical desktop PC type
computer system with custom software. The package utilizes commodity
hardware, both inexpensive and readily available. This provides the
most flexibility, as well as making replacement parts easily
available and affordable.
The package is typically installed
in, on, or around the primary operator position at the dispatch
console, with one or more displays visible to the dispatch
operator(s). The system may use multiple displays for enhanced
visibility, or if there is more than one dispatcher's position
active.
The package can interface to
several of Motorola's console products and works with numerous
subscriber radios that support the MDC-1200 signaling system.
The package's primary function is
to provide a subscriber unit identification database, translating
arbitrary radio unit identification numbers into descriptive text
clearly and visibly displayed. Unit names, along with time, date,
unit status, and comments are displayed in a compact but readable
format. An historical display of the 10 (or more) most recent unit
identifications received is displayed on screen. This historical log
is also time-stamped and written to an internal hard disk in the
computer system for later examination and evaluation, if ever
needed.
The package can also control the
radio base/repeater system, if desired, and can provide an
enable/disable output to control the system access. This access is
based on whether or not the unit is a valid subscriber in the
database. This can be done on a per-key-up basis, or on a timer
basis, depending on the level of system control and/ or security
desired. This provides the ability to screen system access and
prevent unauthorized system activity. |
