 With new software features and enhanced audio, the Patriot RTX offers affordable programmable performance. Its ergonomic contemporary styling make the radio more comfortable to hold and operate than the competitors' radios. The RTX radio housing is made of Lexan, a tough, impact resistant polycarbonate material, resulting in rugged construction. The controls are mounted on the top, and the buttons are easily-accessible, which makes for fast, simple operation of the radio.
The RTX features a dual function LED, which will glow red continulously, indicating that the transmitter is activated. A flashing green LED indicates that the channel is busy. The high-frequency speaker delivers excellent received audio quality in low and high noise environments. The channel monitor button disables coded signalling on the selected channel, and allows the unit to operate in carrier squelch.
