A receiver voting system allows improved talk-back capability between mobiles in the field. The voter will determine the "best" received signal on frequency F1 and rebroadcast the signal from the base on transmitter frequency F2.

Each receiver output includes a COR (carrier operated relay) line and several audio access points. These are typically used by the voter for receiver selection and transmitter steering. The system shown allows remote mobiles to contact other remote users. The local receiver F1 frequencies are back-hauled to the base station. Site A uses a radio link, Site C uses a leased line, and Site B is the resident local base Receiver. The voter then determines the "best" received signal on frequency F1 and rebroadcasts the signal from the base on transmitter frequency F2.

Daniels radio equipment is ideally suited for operation in receiver voting systems. These types of systems may require multiple receivers in a single subrack and combinations of receivers and transmitters.
