Repeaters
A Single Repeater system requires two separate frequencies for the receiver and transmitter and is used whenever greater coverage in a local area is required. The Single Repeater, usually located on a mountain top or tower, repeats any signal received allowing for greater range for portable or mobile radios.
Base Stations
The ability to remote the base station from the radio transmitter is desirable when the base station needs to be located in a valley or urban area which is not well suited for radio transmission, while the radio transmitter should be located on a hilltop.
Paging
A remotely operated paging transmitter can be connected to a Daniels repeater for greater paging coverage and linkage back to the base paging transmitter through a receiver. The paging encoder generates the desired analog or digital formats which are transmitted to a remote paging site through a radio link. Various options can allow the remote paging site to operate as a conventional voice repeater when not operating in paging mode.
Trunking
Trunking systems such as LTR ® and MPT 1327 allow users to automatically share a group of communications channels with improved efficiency over conventional non-trunked systems. This is particularly beneficial when a large number of users are required to share a group of communications channels.

Multi-Receiving Voter
A receiver voting system allows improved talk-back capability between mobiles in the field. The voter will determine the "best" received signal on frequency F1 and rebroadcast the signal from the base on transmitter frequency F2.
