Frequency Hopping 802.11 Raylink CPE Station

802.11 Raylink CPE Station

Raylink's CPE Station is a compact, robust customer premise unit, which can be used in one of three operating modes. In Infrastructure-Client mode, the CPE Station acts as a simple bridge allowing multiple MAC addresses/stations to pass traffic from one point to another with ease and efficiency.

In Ad-Hoc mode, the Raylink CPE is put into a Point-to-Point network topology. In a PTP network , the CPE Station will bridge traffic between any two points, providing redundancy to an already existing network, or extending access from an existing network to a remote location in another area.

As a client in Single-MAC mode, the CPE Station will interface directly to a single customer PC or NAT router. This feature provides another layer of network protection to the administrator. As a single MAC client, the administrator will assign only a single Public or Private IP address there for minimizing the number of IP addresses he or she must administer lowering the overall cost of the install while gaining more control over the network topology.
